Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% in January 10–Monday

MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices increased 0.1% from January 10 through Monday, and inflation amounted to 0.2% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.

In the reporting period, prices for margarine, millet, salt, and vodka rose 0.2%, but prices for buckwheat contracted 0.9% and for pork, poultry, and sugar fell 0.2–0.3%.

Prices for fruit and vegetables rose 0.5% on average. Prices for potatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots, and apples went up 0.5–1.7%, but prices for tomatoes and cucumbers shrank 2.1 and 0.7%, respectively.

Gasoline prices remained flat, while diesel fuel prices rose 0.1%.
